Amman, Jordan

After Petra we went up to Amman to stay with Peter and see another city.

When we first got to Amman we went to find dinner.

Petra, Jordan

We went there for Friday and to Amman on Saturday.

Some goats wondering the parameters that we saw on the way to the monastary. Eventually our paths crossed and we walked through the goats.

Some modern day things (aka a car) mixed with the ancient surroundings.

Biriya Forest & Rosh Pina

Went to Ronni's house for another weekend and on Saturday she showed us around a few areas in the North.

Rosh Pina...a really cute (i think random) town

One of my favorite pictures from my whole trip. Some old guys shop who makes leather shoes and delivers them around the world...if only they did not cost so much. (picture of some of his shoes below)

Chocolates made scratch at a little cafe we stopped in at.

Masada

About half the MIT students that are in Israel, met up to travel to Masada, Dead Sea and Ein Gedi all in one weekend. Here is the first part of our trip.

Bedowin's living corridors. I saw a lot of this throughout the desert on the way to Masada.

Masada-the best thing for Masada is to get there the night before, start hiking up Masada at 4am and get to the top before sun rise. Enjoy the sun rise over the dead sea while sitting on ruins. After the sun is up, enjoy walking around all the ruins and hike back down for a huge well deserved breakfast.

Area infront of our hostel that we walked through the night before we hiked up Masada.

Waiting for the gate to open at 4:15am

Sun starting to rise over the dead sea

Us chilling watching the sun rise.

Some of the ruins. There were so many.

Mountains that surround the othersie of Masada...the side that does not look over the dead sea.

A view of our hostel from the top of Masada. Where we started our hike at 4:20am.

In a huge hole in the ground that used to store the water for the citizens of Masada.
